PineWood Derby: Area boy scouts will hold Pinewood Derby races both days. Races are held on the lower level Center.

Tiger Cub division will race Friday night from 6:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, the Wolf division is from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.,

Bear division is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

1st year Webelos are from 1 p.m. -3 p.m.,

2nd year Webelos from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

The Grand Champions Finals are from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. The Fun Races are held Saturday on the lower level Center Court carpeted area from 9 a.m. 3 p.m. Any and all racers welcome. Don't have a pinewood derby car? We have a car that you can race.

AYSO Soccer Sign ups; You can sign up your kids for AYSO soccer from

1 p.m. 4 p.m. on the upper level Center Court in front of Dillard's on the 3rd and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. upper level in front of Dillard's on Thursday Februay 8th.

Metro North Mall Bridal Show; This free bridal show is a great opportunity for soon to be brides and grooms. Visit a large number of vendors who can make your wedding a dream come true. On Saturday vendors will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. 6 p.m.

Metro North Mall Kidz Corner ; From 6:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. kids 12 and younger can make crafts, have snacks, meet new friends and just have fun. We will be celebrating Saint Patrick's Day at this event, so all children and parents are encouraged to wear green.

Metro North Mall Spelling Bee . Children in grades 3 5 from local Elementary schools will be participating for prizes. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. for the 3 rd grade, 12 p.m. for 4 th grade, and 1 p.m. for the 5th grade. Spelling Bees for each grade will follow registration so be on time for your students registration time.

Girl Scout Expo Diversity ; Area girl scouts will have tables displaying their crafts, and activities from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. on the upper level Center Court . There will be a talent show on the lower level Center Court Stage. Time to be announced.

Metro North Mall – Ritz Camera Photography Contest; All photographs must be turned in to the mall office by April 30. Photographs will be on display on the lower level Center Court through May 1st. The public can Vote which photographs they like in each of the three categories: animal, people, and open. On May 1 st , two judges will choose their top picks. We will combine the public votes with the judges' votes to pick a winner in each category. Prizes will be given to the top winner in each category.

EASTER - MALL IS CLOSED

Metro North Mall Kidz Corner; From 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. kids 12 and younger will make crafts, have snacks, meet new friends and just have fun. We will meet at the lower level East Wing. We will be having spring crafts and everyone should wear blue.

North Kansas City School District Youth Hiring Fair; This hiring fair is will be aimed at area high school students looking for employment. Visit with the different companies on the lower level Center Court from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Area businesses may contact the mall office at 436.7800 if they are interested in participating at the fair.

The Custer High School Band from Custer, South Dakota; At 12:45 p.m. The Custer High School Band will perform on the Center Court Stage for a half hour performance while they tour the states.

DANCE, DANCE, DANCE; Enjoy area dance schools as they perform Sunday, 29 th on our Center Court Stage. Performances begin at 11a.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Clay County Rose Society's Annual Plant Sale; Spring is in the air and now is the time to get your plants and bulbs. At 8 a.m. the sale begins so get here early before your favorites are gone.

BOLT INTO ACTION FATHER'S DAY CONTEST: Fathers and sons can create a tool belt with tools to compete for a gift basket of prizes from Metro North Mall merchants, such as GNC, Firestone, Pete's Sports, MC Sports and more. You can use are duct tape, cardboard and paper to create your toolbelt. Turn your creations into the mall office by 6 p.m. on Father's Day. The mall office is open Monday Saturday 9 a.m. 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. 6 p.m. Examples from last year are at the old Gap Kids location.

METRO NORTH MALL GOLF CHALLENGE; On the lower level Center Court people can compete in the putting challenge starting at 11 a.m. Finals from the top scorers will begin at 4 p.m. Putt your way into the finals and compete for great prizes.

KANSAS CITY FIERO OWNERS GROUP CAR SHOW; Join us in admiring these wonderful cars with expert Fiero car owners available for questions. The display will be on the upper level during mall hours.

PICTURE PERFECT FATHER'S DAY; From 12 p.m. 3 p.m. bring your children 12 and younger, to the lower level Center Court for a free photo. A perfect gift to give dad this Father's Day.

Back to School Tax Free Shopping Weekend - Back to School items such as clothing, shoes, and school supplies will have no taxes during this weekend. Some rules do apply. See stores for details.

American Red Cross Blood Drive - From 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. across from Mastercuts persons who are at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in good general health are asked to stop by to donate blood.

Back To School Train - Children 12 and younger can ride the train for $1.00 on the lower level Center Court.

Dora and Diego give free pictures with kids; From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. children can get a picture taken with Dora or Diego. Sear's Portrait Studio is donating the photographs, which can be picked up that day, an hour after the picture is taken. At 2 p.m. Dora and Diego leave so get in line early. You may get in line twice, once for Dora, once for Diego.

Kidz Corner - Kids have the chance to make free crafts, have snacks and meet new friends. The event is from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on t he lower level East Wing.
